Parent reviews
I found it very manager dependent. Since coming back from maternity, I have had different managers both had a different level of tolerance for even basic things like working from home with one encouraging it and another hinting at how it can affect my longer term career. I found it difficult doing simple things like pumping which made me give up breastfeeding much quicker than intended as there is no dedicated mummy room. Also there was no dedicated fridge for breastmilk, had to use the generic fridge on my floor. Overall though, the experience from company to company I have found can be completely different just dependent on the manager particularly if you try not get HR involved for fear of long-term ramification but I will say the company has a good framework to make it work.
